After completing the main story of Old Lumiere and defeating Renoir, you can return to this location to discover new optional areas that have opened up. These areas contain Pictos, weapons, Chroma, and an optional boss. This guide will help you navigate these newly accessible paths and ensure you find everything this city has to offer on your second visit.
Manor Gardens
When you return to Old Lumiere after completing the main story, you'll notice the manor has vanished. Head to the Expedition Flag: Manor Gardens, and you'll find that two new paths have opened - one to the left along the left boundary wall of the mansion (not the boundary wall that has a hole) and one to the right side.
Left Path Exploration
It's better to explore the left path first, as it makes further exploration easier. Once you start walking on the left path, you'll come across a ledge with a magic rope. Use it to descend to the area below.
At the bottom, you'll encounter a Chevaliere enemy. Defeat it, then collect the 4,990 Chroma on the chair directly behind where the enemy was standing. Also, pick up the Journal - Expedition 42 from the ground by the melting golden sword. Use the magic rope to climb back up before heading to the right path.
Right Path Exploration
When you take the right path, you'll notice a building on the right at the entrance. Look at the building's wall to find a lock - break it. After entering the main area, look down the ledge on your left to spot an enemy. Drop down, defeat the enemy, then return to the main area.
On the right from the entrance, you'll see a building with another lock on it. The third and final lock is a bit trickier to find. From this broken building, take a left and you'll notice a ledge with a grapple option on the other side. Stand here and look toward the left - the last lock is halfway up the cliff in the distance. After destroying all three locks, you'll receive Lune Weapon - Redalim from the paint cage.
Use the grapple to cross to the other side of the ledge. Defeat another group of Chevaliere enemies here. Grapple across a second gap, then use the magic rope to reach the area above. After grappling across the next gap, drop down to the ledge below to find another magic rope. From here, drop to the area below to collect Chroma x4,990.
Climb back up the magic rope and climb the handholds at the end of the platform to reach the ledge with the grapple point you dropped down from. Continue across the next two grapple points and climb the series of handholds to reach another ledge high above. Defeat the Chevaliere here to obtain Pictos - Perilous Parry (Lv 10), then loot the nearby item for Pictos - Healing Death.
After collecting these items, drop down to the area with giant molten swords. From here, take the right path and keep following it, and after a while, you'll notice the Expedition Flag: Train Station Ruins. Rest and heal up here, as you'll be facing an optional boss fight next.
Train Station Ruins
Cross this flag and move along the path until you see a magic rope a few steps ahead. Use this rope to descend. As soon as you land, you'll notice the boss on the right side - the Chromatic Danseuse. Follow the right side path to reach him. After defeating this boss, you'll receive:
- Verso Weapon - Danseso
- Pictos - Revive Paradox
- Polished Chroma Catalyst x6
- Colour of Lumina x15
Once you've defeated the boss, look at the broken rail ramp on the left side and follow it to the top. When you reach the broken section at the top, jump to the broken pillar in front to find Chroma x4,990. From here, drop down and head back toward the moss tree. Right behind it, you'll find Chroma x1,248.
After collecting these items, return to the Expedition Flag: Train Station and fast travel to the Right Street expedition flag.
Right Street Revisited
Once you're back in the Right Street area, take the main path to reach the Fading Man. From there, follow the path to the giant axon where the cutscene happened during your first visit. From there, take a left and you'll encounter a Chevaliere patrolling the path.
Continue following the same path and defeat another set of enemies, then climb the handholds at the end of the path. At the top, you'll find another group of Chevalieres on the left and a Mime on the right. Defeat the Mime to get Sciel Haircut - Braid.
After collecting this final item, you can return to the world map and make your way to the first Axon for your next destination.
